Waiver of Ruling 10.06 of the Rules and Rulings of the Bar Council
We refer to Circular No 358/2020 dated 20 Oct 2020 wherein the Bar Council had decided to temporarily suspend the legal aid programme for pupils in chambers due to the recent surge of COVID-19 cases in the country.
In light of the current circumstances, we wish to inform pupils in chambers that the Bar Council is temporarily waiving Ruling 10.06 of the Rules of Rulings of the Bar Council which states that “Every pupil is required to attend at a Legal Aid Centre for at least 14 days during his/her period of pupillage”, until further notice.
