“Risk management” refers various steps, methods, or processes that are put in place to monitor, detect and avoid errors/omissions and to ensure efficient management of any work in the firm. As an example, these measures include maintaining an up to date checklist of important dates/milestones/events for each file including a diary and review systems, conducting relevant searches, adequate identification measures, staff supervision as well confirming all instructions in writing.
