New Firms - Submission of Proposal Forms

You need to submit a completed Proposal Form to Marsh together with a copy of "No Objection" letter from Bar Council.
You can submit your Proposal Form online or manually by email, fax or post.  Click here for contact details.

Send an email to Marsh at mbar@marsh.com; together with a copy of the "No Objection" letter from Bar Council.
Marsh will send you an email requesting you to submit the Name and Email address of an authorised person in your Firm.
Upon receipt of the information, Marsh at mbar@marsh.com will send a User ID and Password to the authorised person for access to the Online System.
 
You can apply for the Insurance online or manually.
 
Online Manual
  1. Log in via Praktis with your User ID and Password.
  1. Download a copy of the Proposal Form  by clicking here.
  1. Complete the Proposal Form.
  1. Complete the Proposal Form.
  1. Click “Confirm and Get Mandatory Invoice” after ticking the "Authorise" and "Declaration" boxes.
  1. Sign the Declaration.
  1. Click "Generate Invoice* to make payment.
  1. Submit the Proposal Form to Marsh by:
a. Fax at 03-2723 3301 / 3303;
b. Email to mbar@marsh.com; or
c. Mail to:

  1. Make payment to Marsh by Cheque or Online Banking to the Bank Account stated in the Invoice.  Payment can also be made in-person (*cash payment is no longer accepted).  Forward payment transaction to Marsh for their records.
  1. Marsh processes Proposal Form within 2 working days.
The same applies for walk-in submissions of Proposal Forms.  However, you have the option to use the laptops provided on-site at Marsh to submit your Proposal Form online and obtain your invoice instantly.  *Refer to Online Submission.
  1. Policy Schedule delivered by email after payment is received by Marsh.
Download the Policy Documents from Praktis.
  1. Marsh faxes Invoice to you.
 
  1. Make payment to Marsh by Cheque or Online Banking to the Bank Account stated in the Invoice.  Note, cash payment is no longer accepted.  Forward payment transaction to Marsh for their records.
 
  1. Policy Schedule delivered by email or mail.

It takes 2 working days to process a completed application and issue the Policy Schedule.

After receiving your documents, Marsh will call you to verify the information provided.  If everything is in order, Marsh process the Proposal Form and will issue you an Invoice.

When payment is received, your Policy Schedule will be sent to you and you will have to download the Policy Documents from Praktis.
Write to Marsh, setting out the corrections to be made to the Proposal Form.  Marsh will verify the corrections and issue you a corrected Policy Schedule.
You have an option to purchase Top-Up insurance after you have completed the PII online renewal.  This Top-Up option is quoted by the PII Scheme Insurance Broker, Marsh.

Alternatively, you have the option to purchase Top-Up insurance from other insurance providers in the market.

Please note that Bar Council does not oversee indemnity insurance needs above the mandataroy requirement.
