Existing Firms – Submission of the Renewal Proposal Forms

The benefits of Online Submission:

  • hassle free – no queues or traffic;
  • do it at your own time and convenience;
  • Invoice generated immediately upon completion of Proposal Form - not available to firms who have notified a claim or circumstance in the past 5 years.
From June, JLT will email Firms requesting them to provide the name, and email address of an authorised person

In August, JLT will email you your new User ID and Password to the email address provided. 

NOTE: The User ID and Password for the last renewal cannot be used for the coming Renewal.

If you do not receive your new User ID and Password by the 2nd week of August, please contact JLT at:

Renewal of the PII begins in August of every year.

You will receive an email from JLT by the first or second week of August, inviting you to submit your Proposal Form online.

If you do not receive the email notification for online renewal, please contact JLT.
You can renew your Insurance online or manually
 
Online Manual
  1.  Log in via Praktis with your Access Code.
  1. Use the printed Proposal Form in the Renewal Pack sent by JLT or download and print a blank Proposal Form here.
  1. View your Proposal Form pre-filled with last year's data and make changes, if any.
  1. Complete the Proposal Form.
  1. Click “Confirm and Get Mandatory Invoice” after ticking the Authorise and Declaration boxes.
  1. Sign the Declaration.
  1. Click Generate Invoice to make payment.
NOTE: If you have reported a notification, you will only receive your invoice after JLT has verified the information.
  1. Submit the Proposal Form to JLT by:
(a)   Fax at 03-2723 3301 / 3303, or
(b)   Mail to

  1. Make payment to JLT by GIRO, Cheque or Online Banking to the Bank Account stated in the Invoice.  Payment can also be made in-person.  Forward details of GIRO/Online Banking payment to JLT for their records.
  1. JLT processes Proposal Form within 2 working days.
The same applies for walk-in submissions of Proposal Forms.  However, you have the option to use the laptops provided on-site at JLT to submit your Proposal Form online and obtain your invoice instantly.  *Refer to Online Submission.
  1.  Policy Schedule delivered by email after payment is received by JLT.
Download the Policy Documents from Praktis.
  1. JLT faxes Invoice to you.
 
  1.  Make payment to JLT by GIRO, Cheque or Online Banking to the Bank Account stated in the Invoice.  Payment can also be made in-person.

  1. Policy Schedule delivered by email or mail after payment is received by JLT.

This could be due to your firm having notified a claim or circumstance during the past 5 years.  Your submission will be reviewed and processed within 2 working days and your Invoice will be sent to you.

If your firm has no history of any notification or claim, please call or email JLT for clarification.
Write to JLT, setting out the corrections to be made to the Proposal Form.  JLT will verify the corrections and issue you a corrected Policy Schedule.
If a Partner/Legal Assistant left the firm prior to inception of the Policy (ie 1 January), Insurers will refund the premium paid for that individual. 
There is no additional premium due for the current Policy Year Insurance but premium will be charged for the Renewal of the subsquent Policy Year Insurance.
Give written notification to JLT Immediately.  It is not necessary for you to amend the Proposal Form that you have submitted.

You can purchase Top-Up Insurance online up to a limit of RM30 million.  If you select a Top-Up limit above RM30 million, JLT will contact you to attend to your requirements.

The purchase of Top-Up above RM30 million will not affect your ability to renew your Mandatory Policy and Top-Up up to RM30 million.  Your Mandatory Policy Schedule and Top-Up Schedule will be issued upon payment as in previous years.
