Opening of Reception Desk of
Advocates and Solicitors Disciplinary Board Secretariat (5th Floor)
We refer to Circular No 232/2021 entitled “Extension of Closure of Bar Council Secretariat & Advocates and Solicitors Disciplinary Board Secretariat Due to Total Lockdown” dated 14 June 2021, and Circular No 279/2021 entitled “Opening of Mailing Counter of Bar Council Secretariat (3rd Floor)” dated 13 July 2021.
Kindly be informed of the following:
(1) Advocates and Solicitors Disciplinary Board (“ASDB”) Secretariat
The reception desk of the ASDB Secretariat, located on the 5th floor of the premises, will open effective 21 July 2021 (Wednesday), from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm. This is for the purpose of receiving letters and other urgent documents.
The rest of the ASDB Secretariat remains physically closed, while its staff work remotely. You can contact the ASDB by telephone at 03-2697 3333 or by email at secretariat@asdb.org.my.
(2) Bar Council Secretariat
Since 14 July 2021, the mailing counter of the Bar Council Secretariat, located on the 3rd floor of the premises, has opened, for the purpose of receiving letters and other urgent documents. The mailing counter is open from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
The rest of the Bar Council Secretariat remains physically closed, while its staff work remotely. To contact the Secretariat, please call the general line at 03-2050 2050, or send an email to council@malaysianbar.org.my.
(3) Library
While the physical library remains closed, we are still able to undertake some of our services to Members, such as those relating to cases and legislation.
Members who require cases and legislation can send an email to library@malaysianbar.org.my or call the Library at 03-2050 2084, and the Library staff will respond to these requests.
