Circular No 334/2020
Dated 8 Oct 2020
To Members of the Malaysian Bar
MITI’s COVID-19 Intelligent Management System (“CIMS”)
In light of the recent implementation of the Conditional Movement Control Order (“CMCO”) and the Enhanced Movement Control Order (“EMCO”) in several areas (“affected areas”), the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (“MITI”) has urged companies to register on its COVID-19 Intelligent Management System (“CIMS”) at https://notification.miti.gov.my/.
Please click here to view MITI’s press release dated 7 Oct 2020 in relation to this matter.
We strongly encourage Member firms to take note of MITI’s press release and register on CIMS in view of the increase in COVID-19 cases.
Please be informed that the CIMS registration acts as a source of reference for the Royal Malaysia Police (“PDRM”) before issuing permission to companies to operate in the affected areas. However, the CIMS registration does not guarantee an automatic approval to operate.
Should you face any technical issues with regard to registering on CIMS, please contact info@marii.my or MITI via its Twitter, Facebook or Instagram pages.
We hope that the information provided here is of assistance to Members. We will update Members as and when we receive any information from MITI, and when there are new developments.
Thank you.
A G KALIDAS
Secretary
