Implementation of SMS Notification System on Time Limit to File Written Submission, Bundle of Authority and Executive Summary in Federal Court and Court of Appeal
We refer to Circular No 441/2020 entitled “Guidelines on Establishing Time Limit to File Written Submission, Bundle of Authority and Executive Summary in Federal Court and Court of Appeal”, dated 15 Dec 2020.
The Office of the Chief Registrar of the Federal Court of Malaysia has extended to us a notification via email entitled “Sistem Pemberitahuan Melalui Khidmat Pesanan Ringkas (SMS Alert) Mengenai Peringatan Pemfailan Hujahan Bertulis di Mahkamah Persekutuan dan Mahkamah Rayuan”, dated today (25 Feb 2021).
This notification pertains to the implementation of a notification system via Short Message Service (“SMS”) that will be sent to the relevant parties involved in a case, seven days before the start of the 14-day time limit to file written submissions, bundles of authority and executive summaries at the Federal Court and Court of Appeal. This notification system will commence on 1 Mar 2021 (Monday).

SISTEM PEMBERITAHUAN MELALUI KHIDMAT PESANAN RINGKAS (SMS ALERT) MENGENAI PERINGATAN PEMFAILAN HUJAHAN BERTULIS DI MAHKAMAH PERSEKUTUAN DAN MAHKAMAH RAYUAN
Dengan hormatnya saya merujuk perkara di atas dan e-mel Pejabat ini bertarikh 7 Disember 2021.
2. Sebagaimana yang YBhg. Tan Sri / Datuk / Dato’ / Tuan sedia maklum, Badan Kehakiman Malaysia telah melaksanakan had masa pemfailan semua hujahan bertulis, ikatan autoriti, ringkasan eksekutif dan apa-apa dokumen lain yang berkaitan yang difailkan di Mahkamah Persekutuan dan Mahkamah Rayuan melebihi tempoh empat belas (14) hari sebelum tarikh pendengaran atau Rayuan.
3. Bagi menambah baik pelaksanaan sistem ini, adalah saya diarahkan oleh YAA Tun Tengku Maimun binti Tuan Mat, Ketua Hakim Negara untuk memaklumkan bahawa bermula 1 Mac 2021 Mahkamah Persekutuan Malaysia dan Mahkamah Rayuan Malaysia akan melaksanakan sistem peringatan melalui khidmat pesanan ringkas (SMS Alert) yang akan dihantar kepada telefon bimbit pihak-pihak yang mengendalikan kes, dalam masa tujuh (7) hari sebelum bermulanya tempoh had masa empat belas (14) hari pemfailan hujahan bertulis, ikatan autoriti dan ringkasan eksekutif di Mahkamah Persekutuan dan Mahkamah Rayuan (contoh paparan SMS Alert adalah sebagaimana yang dilampirkan).
