Update 3 Mar 2021 | Notification of Court Operations in CMCO and RMCO States

We refer to Circular No 068/2021 entitled “Update 17 Feb 2021 | Notification of Court Operations in MCO and CMCO States” dated 17 Feb 2021, the enforcement of the Conditional Movement Control Order (“CMCO”) which apply to the states of Selangor, Johore, Penang, the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Kedah, Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan, Perak and Sarawak, and the enforcement of the Recovery Movement Control Order (“RMCO”) which apply to the states of Perlis, Terengganu, Melaka, Pahang, Sabah and the Federal Territories of Labuan and Putrajaya, as announced on 2 Mar 2021 by the Senior Minister (Security) and Defence Minister, YB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Office of the Chief Registrar of the Federal Court of Malaysia has issued a directive on 3 Mar 2021 entitled “Operasi Mahkamah Semasa Pelaksanaan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Bersyarat (PKPB) dan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan Pemulihan (PKPP)” pertaining to Court operations during the CMCO and RMCO period in the affected states.

The following guideline is applicable for states under both CMCO and RMCO, throughout the CMCO and RMCO period:

• Garis Panduan Pengendalian Kes Secara Fizikal dan Melalui Teknologi Komunikasi Jarak Jauh di Mahkamah Persekutuan, Mahkamah Rayuan, Mahkamah Tinggi dan Mahkamah Rendah Seluruh Malaysia Semasa Tempoh Pandemik COVID-19 (see pages 3 to 10).

In addition, for both CMCO and RMCO affected states, the above-mentioned guideline must be applied with Tatacara Operasi Standard Pencegahan Wabak Covid-19 Di Mahkamah Seluruh Malaysia Bagi Pengguna Mahkamah (see pages 11 to 15).
