Update 23 Jan 2021 | Notification of Court Operations in MCO States

We refer to Circular No 008/2021 entitled “Notification of Court Operations in MCO States” dated 12 Jan 2021 and the extension of the Movement Control Order (“MCO”) until 4 Feb 2021, which apply to the states of Johore, Kelantan, Melaka, Penang, Sabah, Selangor and the Federal Territories (Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan) as announced on 21 Jan 2021 by the Senior Minister (Security) and Defence Minister, YB Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.

The Office of the Chief Registrar of the Federal Court of Malaysia has issued a directive on 22 Jan 2021 entitled “Operasi Mahkamah Semasa Pelanjutan Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (PKP)” pertaining to Court operations during the MCO period in the affected states.

The following directives and guidelines are applicable throughout the period of the MCO:

(i) Arahan-Arahan Berhubung Dengan Pengendalian Kes Semasa Tempoh Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (see pages 3 to 6);
(ii) Arahan Mengenai Pengendalian Prosiding Kes Jenayah Di Mahkamah Semasa Tempoh Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan (see pages 7 to 14); and
(iii) Tatacara Operasi Standard Pencegahan Wabak Covid-19 Di Mahkamah Seluruh Malaysia Bagi Pengguna Mahkamah (see pages 15 to 17).
