Notification of Operations at Kedah State Courts During the MCO and EMCO Period

We refer to Circular No 171/2021 entitled “Notification of Operations at Alor Setar Courts and Jitra Magistrates’ Court During the EMCO Period” dated 18 May 2021 and Circular No 179/2021 entitled “Notification of Court Operations in MCO and EMCO States” dated 23 May 2021.

The Kedah State Bar Committee has extended to us copies of their circulars to inform us of the following:

(1) Court operations and proceedings in the Alor Setar Courts will be as stated in paragraph (d) of Circular No 179/2021 during the enhanced movement control order (“EMCO”) period in the district of Kota Setar, from 19 May until 1 June 2021.

Please refer to Circular No 171/2021 for more information on the operations at the affected courts; and

(2) Rescheduling of courts operations in the Kulim, Sungai Petani and Jitra Courts during the movement control order (“MCO”) period beginning from 25 May until 7 June 2021.
