Hearings of Certain Matrimonial Proceedings at Seremban Sessions Court

The Negeri Sembilan State Bar Committee has extended to us a copy of a notification (via WhatsApp) from the Seremban High Court entitled “Pendengaran Kes bagi Hakim Mahkamah Sesyen yang Diberikan Bidang Kuasa di Bawah Subseksyen 2(2) Akta Membaharui Undang-Undang (Perkahwinan dan Penceraian) 1976 [Akta 164]” dated 28 Apr 2021.

With effect from 1 May 2021, hearing of the following matrimonial proceedings under subsection 2(2) of the Law Reform (Marriage and Divorce) Act 1976 [Act 164] will be conducted before Seremban Sessions Court (1) Judge, Puan Madihah binti Harullah:

(1) Joint Divorce Petitions under section 52 Act 164 (Code 33JP); and
(2) Applications for exemption from reference to conciliatory body under section 106 Act 164 (Code 24F).
