Hearing of Petition for Admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya
via Video Conferencing Expanded to All High Courts Starting from 1 Feb 2021

We refer to Circular No 402/2020 entitled “Proposal for Virtual Hearing of Petition for Admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya” dated 16 Nov 2020 and Circular No 421/2020 entitled “Hearing of Petition for Admission as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya via Video Conferencing” dated 30 Nov 2020.

The Office of the Chief Registrar of the Federal Court of Malaysia has issued a notification entitled “Pengendalian Pendengaran Permohonan untuk Menerima Masuk dan Mendaftaraikan Pempetisyen Sebagai Peguambela dan Peguamcara (Call to the Bar) di Mahkamah Tinggi Malaya Secara Sidang Video Semasa Tempoh Perintah Kawalan Pengerakan” dated 27 Jan 2021.

Please be informed that the hearing of petitions for admission as an advocate and solicitor of the High Court of Malaya via video conferencing (subject to the petitioner’s application) will be expanded to all High Courts of Malaya starting from 1 Feb 2021.
