Instruction from the Chief Justice of Malaysia Regarding 
Fingerprint Requirement on Documents and Register Books 
 
We refer to Circular No 120/2011 where Members were informed of the fingerprint requirement on documents attested by Commissioners for Oaths. 
 
We have been informed by the Chief Registrar of the Federal Court that the Chief Justice of Malaysia has instructed all Commissioners for Oaths to ensure that deponents impress their fingerprints on all attested documents and register books that involve transactions with Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia (JPJ) only. This instruction takes effect from 8 June 2011. 
 
The Chief Justice of Malaysia’s instruction to all Commissioners for Oaths dated 19 May 2011 has been revoked.
