IMLC 2020 | Request for Adjournment of Court Matters on 12 to 14 Aug 2020
The Chief Registrar of the Federal Court of Malaysia has informed us that the Chief Justice, YAA Tan Sri Tengku Maimun binti Tuan Mat, has no objection to Members of the Bar applying to adjourn their cases from 12 to 14 Aug 2020, in order to attend the International Malaysia Law Conference 2020 (“IMLC 2020”). Members must apply to the relevant courts to seek adjournment of court matters that are fixed on those dates.
The President of the Industrial Court of Malaysia, YA Tuan Eddie Yeo Soon Chye, has informed us that all Chairmen of the Industrial Court have been notified to permit the adjournment of cases fixed on 12 to 14 Aug 2020, for Members who wish to attend IMLC 2020.
The letters from the Chief Registrar and the President of the Industrial Court on the adjournment of court matters, are available here (see pages 2 to 5).
Members who plan to attend IMLC 2020 are advised to apply early for adjournment of court matters.
