Implementation of Biometric Fingerprint Scanning for Transactions Valued at RM5 Million and Above
The Bar Council has received a letter, on 12 Mar 2020, from Pejabat Tanah dan Galian Selangor entitled “Tempoh Percubaan Perlaksanaan Pengesahan Cap Jari Secara Biometrik bagi Urusan Pindahmilik Tanah Nilaian Tinggi”, dated 26 Feb 2020.
The Pejabat Tanah dan Galian Selangor has informed us that the biometric fingerprint scanning commenced from 2 Mar 2020 on a trial basis. Vendors and purchasers for transactions valued at RM5 million and above must attend at the Selangor land registry for biometric fingerprint scanning.
