Practice Direction No 1 Of The Year 2009
Registration And Management Of Criminal Cases Involving Street Crime
The Right Honourable Chief Justice has directed that all criminal cases involving street crime i.e. snatch thief, unarmed robbery and unarmed gang robbery which occur on the streets are to be given priority and registered under the following codes:
1) Code 62J and Code 61J for Sessions Court;
2) Code 83J and Code 82J for Magistrates Court; and
3) Code 84J for Childs Court.
The Practice Direction No 1 of the year 2009 dated 19 August 2009 is effective immediately. Please find
enclosed.
